This next week you will be working on your project for chapitre 3. In groups you will create a cooking show in French. Click here for the assignment details. Below I have posted a cooking show of Julia Childs. In the 60s she hosted The French Chef. It was a television show that introduced the American public to French cuisine. At a time when processed food and TV dinners were all the rage, this show was unique. Julia was hilarious and entertaining and her authentic French cooking skills are apparent. Watch an episode below to get an idea of what I am looking for when you create your own show. Bon appetit.

Kings of Pastry
We are getting ready for your first food unit of French II. As you have learned, the French have a love affair with their cuisine, and this film proves that point. The Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) is a title given to only the best of the best in France. The French government gives this prestigious award. Contestants spend years to perfect their craft. We are going to get an inside look into the pastry portion of this competition. This is a perfect way to enter into our next unit where we learn to discuss artisinal arts in France that center around food.

Let's Revisit the Verb Aller
We are revisiting the verb aller which means to go. This is a pretty useful verb. Obviously we use it to tell people where we are going in French, but we also use it to form the near future tense. Watch the video below and review this verb. C'est très important.
